About WEAU:

WEAU 13 News broadcasts to 26 counties in western Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota. We're an hour drive from the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area in a growing community with great schools and health care.
WEAU is affiliated with NBC and produces 30 hours of news every week.

Job Summary/Description

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Post accurate content to our website WEAU.com; our app; social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
-Proofread and edit reporter content for digital platforms
-Send push alerts on our app
-Interact with sources and the public through news story coverage and station events
-As needed, do live coverage on social media platforms of developing stories
-Writing engaging digital headlines & compelling posts on social media
-Assisting the Digital Content Manager on implementing Digital Initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:
-Educational background in electronic mass media/journalism
-Preferred knowledge of ENPS
-An ability to effectively multitask & prioritize tasks to meet several deadlines in the day
-Flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts
