Job Description
Work minutes away from the beach! WBTW, the dominant local news outlet in the Myrtle Beach market, is looking for an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER who will lead content decisions during their assigned shift.

This position opened because our previous Executive Producer earned a promotion to Assistant News Director.

The ideal candidate will be a positive, servant leader who can calmly make good decisions in high-pressure situations, solve problems, make the most efficient use of their time and our resources, and maintain our positive culture through decisions that are respectful of our employees' lives in and out of work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Contribute to development of news department strategies
• Hold staff accountable for following news department strategies and policies
• Give feedback and training to employees
• Participate in interview process for job candidates
• Lead assigned special projects
• Oversee assigned newscasts, including script and graphic reviews
• Fill-in produce newscasts as needed
• Confirm stories while developing sources to regularly break news
• Guide reporter story development through regular check-ins, script review, and feedback
• Stay plugged into community issues and the competition to ensure WBTW provides market-leading news coverage
