Job Description

Digital Reporter/Producer (not on-air)

WBTW in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the dominant local news outlet in the Eastern Carolinas, is looking for a digital reporter/producer for our digital platforms.

This person will produce print-style reporting with an emphasis on data and government accountability. The digital reporter/producer will also manage our website content on weekends. The position is not on-air.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pitch and write enterprise stories
• Attend news events, including government meetings
• Post stories, video, and audio and manage content on WBTW.com, the News13 app, and WBTW's social media platforms
• Confirm stories while developing sources to regularly break news
• Clip videos from newscasts
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to calmly handle a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Experience with FOIA requests, political/government accountability reporting
