Job Summary/Description:
WBTV is looking for an experienced producer to join our Emmy award-winning morning team producing content for broadcast and streaming platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, innovative producer who is ready to deliver urgent, important, and unique content to a multiplatform audience.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Line produce live newscast daily
- Select content and write scripts
- Coordinate with digital producers and anchors on cross-platform content
- Communicate with anchors, assignment desk, field crews, editors, and others to ensure execution of a high-quality newscast
- Produce live breaking news and special event coverage
- Fill in on other dayparts as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a line producer
- Experience producing with multiple live sources
- Excellent writing, showcasing, time management skills required
- Must exhibit understanding of broadcast, digital, social, and streaming platforms in a local news context
