About WBTV:

WBTV is a CBS affiliate television station located in Charlotte, NC. WBTV is a historic station launched in 1949. It is Nielsen market number 22. Charlotte is a beautiful city with the mountains a few hours away as well as the NC coast reachable in 4 hours.

Job Summary/Description:

WBTV is seeking a full time director to direct live newscasts and local programming. You may also be responsible for Master Control, ingesting daily programming, promotions, and commercials.

Coding and directing newscasts via Ross automation. Some Master Control responsibilities including monitoring on-air signals as well as maintaining transmitter and FCC logs.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• The ideal candidate will be an excellent problem solver, possess strong leadership and organizational skills and be able to perform well under pressure in a fast paced, highly competitive work environment. We are seeking a team player that communicates well with coworkers. If you are someone with a television technical background and you enjoy a fast-paced live television environment, this position may be a perfect fit for you. Previous television experience preferred.
