Job Summary/Description:

WBKO is seeking a morning meteorologist for our dominant morning and midday newscasts. We are looking for someone who can connect with our audience while delivering a forecast that's easy to understand and helps people plan their day using our''First Alert'' philosophy.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Serve as primary meteorologist for our 2-hour morning show and Midday newscasts.
• Produce graphics and maps that are engaging and easy to understand
• Produce videos for our WBKO First Alert Weather app and update website as needed
• Engage with viewers in the community and over social media
• Work with producers to determine relevant weather content in breaking and everyday
situations.
• Be a passionate, accurate forecaster
• Able to handle severe weather calmly, and effectively, to relay life-saving information to
viewers
• Candidates should exhibit good work ethic, strong people skills, and maintain professional
attitude.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Degree in meteorology is required
• On-air experience preferred
• Knowledge of WSI weather products is preferred
• College graduates will be considered with a strong demo reel and internship experience
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
