Job Description
WBAL NewsRadio 1090 & FM 101.5 is Hearst's News, Talk and Sports Station in Baltimore, MD. Our longtime Assistant Program Director with almost 40 years of service, will soon be leaving. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone to play a vital role at one of the leading news and talk radio stations. You will help lead our team assisting our Program Director overseeing day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is a creative and energetic individual that can adeptly handle the demands of a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibilities:
• Manage staff of producers who are responsible for station operation 24/7.
• Work with hosts on the production of shows and following programming guidelines.
• Manage local and network coverage of the Ravens and Navy football networks.
• Work with engineering on best practices for studio and remote operations.
• Assist with scheduling hosts and producers.
• Ensure all FCC rules and company guidelines are followed.

Experience:
• Experience in radio programming and management preferred.
• Familiarity with broadcast software: Adobe Audition, Wide Orbit Automation & Production preferred.
• Prior work with sports productions helpful.
• Knowledge of FCC and EAS regulations.

Qualifications Requirements:
• Reliable and flexible.
• Familiar with Nielsen PPM best practices or aptitude to learn.
• Timely and thorough in communicating with management and staff.
• Must be excel in a fast-paced team environment.
