Job Summary/Description:

WAVE News wants to uncover news, not just cover it. We are looking for a dynamic anchor and reporter who digs, develops sources and embraces all aspects of the storytelling process – anchoring weekend newscasts, enterprising stories, shooting, writing, editing, and presenting live digital storytelling is a key component of our journalistic duties, so candidates must be skilled in using digital and social tools to enhance stories.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Anchor weekend morning newscasts and fill on other newscasts, as needed
- Report three days a week
- Develop and pitch unique enterprise stories daily
- Shoot, write, edit, and present compelling stories, either solo or with a photographer
- Optimize story presentation for each WAVE News platform
- Participate in daily editorial decisions and long-term strategic newscast initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least two years experience as an anchor and multimedia journalist
- Dynamic anchoring skills
- Strong writing skills and editorial judgment
- Ability to shoot and edit on deadline
- Understanding of digital and social platforms
- Enjoy a fast paced environment with a desire to win
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Clean Driving Record
