Job Title: VP, Project Management

A little bit about our team:

The Research & Analysis department works to influence WMG's strategy and optimize day-to-day operations through data and insights. This position sits within the NYC-based global Research & Analysis team, working closely with colleagues across Business Development, WEA Distribution, and Label Partners to better understand what makes our global digital partners tick, and how we can use that information to the advantage of our artists and songwriters.

At a high level, the VP, Project Management role is responsible for ensuring that workflows and communications within the Research & Analysis department are as efficient and effective as possible and that all department projects are executed and delivered in a timely fashion, in accordance with agreed-upon client expectations.

The ideal candidate for this role has extensive experience designing, improving, and implementing project management systems and best practices, preferably within a research-oriented team or organization.

Here you'll get to:
• Design and implement systems, protocols, and best practices for efficient project and workflow management within the Research & Analysis department
• Oversee project resourcing, staffing, and prioritization across all team pillars within Research& Analysis
• Continually monitor the status of projects across the department to ensure that all projects are properly moving through the key project management stages: Initiation, Planning, Supporting Execution, Monitoring/Controlling, and Delivery/Closing
• Ensure that project parameters and deliverables are properly defined during the Initiation and Planning stages and help establish an optimal point of solution resolution
• Lead internal communications within the Research & Analysis department, so all staff on the team are aware of the resourcing situation, key priorities, and state of play across the department's project portfolio
• Work closely with business liaison to communicate with executives, key stakeholders, and internal clients and provide updates on project status, staffing, timeframes, and expected deliverables

About you:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in a project management role, preferably within research and/or consulting organization
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects and coordinate collaborative work processes involving multiple stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to speak and write in a clear, succinct, and highly informative manner, such that project expectations and timelines are clearly defined and communicated
• Flexibility to manage multiple priorities from a variety of sources; organizing and prioritizing effectively to impact areas of greatest need
• Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
• Experience working with Atlassian JIRA and Agile preferred
