The Warner Music Artist & Fan Experiences Group functions as a centralized, in-house creative agency for the Warner Recorded Music roster as well as for third party artists who need our expertise. This team is responsible growing revenue for artists by delivering impactful fan-centric experiences that shape culture. This happens through merchandise, VIP experiences, content, collaborations, licensing, gaming and more. Turning label and artist goals into ''must-have'' experiences for fans.

Your role:

The Vice President of Innovation identifies new products, services, and capabilities to bring to our artists, incubates and accelerates high potential opportunities, and sets winning go-to-market strategies for new offerings.

We seek a strong innovative technologist who enjoys working with artists, has a bias for action, and is an expert in fan-centered design methodologies. This leader embodies a growth mindset, promotes a diverse and inclusive team culture, and has the ability to empower and lead people around them. They work cross functionally and help our artists identify and scale new opportunities to connect with their fans using gaming platforms, NFTs, and emerging technologies. They deeply understand the digital ecosystem and key business drivers. They use their expertise in innovation and disruption to build the future. The successful candidate will have relentless curiosity, possess excellent communication skills, thrive in a dynamic environment and have a broad range of technical, business and interpersonal skills that scale from managers to C-level executives.

Here you'll get to:
• Monitor consumer trends and share insights with stakeholders - turn external insights into internal action through impactful readouts
• Collaborate with Business Development on partner capabilities assessments to ensure product-market fit
• Run pilot programs with select artists with the goal of finding innovative solutions with substantial impact potential on WMX
• Develop go to market strategies to scale partnership capabilities across our artist roster
• Brainstorm ways to leverage NFTs, gaming, and other tech platforms to drive artist campaign goals
• Work cross-functionally to ensure successful execution
• Quantify the value (revenue, fan engagement, earned media, etc.) delivered to our artists and the business
• Lead a tech team inclusive of UX/UI designers and full stack developers
• Be an innovation thought partner for artist managers and label stakeholders by acting as a trusted advisor and operating through influence
• Host tech meet-ups with vendors, open source community and peer tech teams from music industry and other industries with the goal of sharing lessons learned, practical experiences

About you:
• Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
• A background in innovation including experience of lean start-up, design thinking, prototyping and also have solid commercial awareness.
• Ability to keep pulse on and evaluate trends and translate into actionable recommendations
• Proven track record developing and implementing strategies and new commercial opportunities that deliver business results
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strategic thinking
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Experience in the music industry is highly desirable.

We'd love it if you also had:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred; or equivalent related professional experience
• 12+ years in the tech industry, at least 3 years of experience as a senior leader managing teams
