A little bit about our team:

Warner Music U is the team within the Warner Music Group that plans, creates and delivers content and experiences by and for young creatives, all with the intention of creating lifelong fans for our artists and labels. Warner Music U works alongside WEA, ADA, WMG's label partners, and the Artist & Fan Services team to create semester long marketing campaigns. Additionally, Warner Music U works with the WEA Global Commercial Services team to maximize WMG revenue and market share leading through best practices, platform expertise and forward-thinking solutions that support our recorded music strategy.

Why this could be your next big break:

Lead and supervise a team of approximately 20 Warner Music U Reps, one manager, and one coordinator. Under Direction of the VP of Retail & Platform Marketing, work closely with various departments within WEA & ADA and with WMG labels and O&O properties to outline and implement marketing strategies for priority projects and artists.

Here you'll get to:
• Oversee management of approximately 20 college students across the US and two direct reports that are responsible for artist development, digital marketing campaigns, label support, tour support, and artist services support.
• Attend regular WEA/ADA, Warner Artist & Fan Experiences, and label marketing meetings and lead the brainstorming and development of artist, tour, and/or merchandise marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with label partners to determine priorities for fall and spring semesters.
• Work in counterpart with Retail & Platform Marketing team to plan and execute digital activations and events on college campuses or in local markets to generate buzz and awareness of priority artists.
• Create and distribute actionable B2B reporting of Instagram and TikTok analytics, social media trends, Gen-Z insights, and student feedback for WMG labels and artist managers.
• Offer growth and guidance for reps looking to pursue a full-time career in the music industry. Connect team members directly with full time employees, artists, managers, etc. for educational sessions and mentoring opportunities.
• Spearhead recruitment strategies and leverage relationships with universities, high schools, brands, and local influencers to build the WMU team.
• Collaborate with Student Programs Manager to provide insight and establish best practices on recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining students.
• Conducts second round interviews with RPM team members and makes final decision on hires.
• Manage social media and playlisting initiatives – work with Coordinator to regularly update Warner Music U social media platforms and playlists to determine brand's overall voice and aesthetic. Offer and implement ideas and suggestions to better improve the overall department's digital footprint.
• Work closely with internal teams, schools, and brands by collaborating and communicating cross-functionally with key stakeholders.
• Lead weekly calls to provide updates and brainstorm with Warner Music U team.
• Identify Gen-Z and emerging generation trends and provide these updates to various WMG teams.
• Maintain a pipeline of talent for hiring managers within the company for entry level, freelance, and internship roles.
• Responsible for the allocation and management for T&E marketing budget.
• Manages the execution of the promotional tool process- organizes selection and delivery.

About you:
• Passion for music.
• Understanding of Gen-Z/youth/college demographic and how to effectively market to and work with them.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal, and able to utilize resources to get things done.
• Effective presentation skills in both small and large groups, with peers and superiors, inside and outside of the organization.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience managing others or working within a large team environment.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Profound understanding of youth/the college demographic.
• High social media competency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Background (5-7 years+) in marketing, promotions, brand ambassador programs, or street teaming and an understanding of trends in the digital and social media space.
• College Degree preferred
• Experience putting together events (parties, meet-ups, rallies, etc.)
• Previous social media and/or music experience a plus
• Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and/or iMovie experience a plus
