Job Title: Senior Manager, Revenue Assurance
This position is responsible for overseeing the day to day work process of the Revenue Assurance group which includes 1) Income Tracking of licensing revenues related to WMG controlled repertoire, 2) the Recordation of weekly revenues, 3) Processing of royalties to royalty accounts, 4) Reporting and 5) Union Obligations.
We have transitioned to a hybrid work schedule at this time, allowing our employees to work a combination of in-office and virtual days. These work arrangements will be periodically reviewed based on business needs.
The responsibilities of the candidate hired to fill this position will include directly overseeing and managing the following tasks:
• Create and maintain royalty account information for royalty recipients in WMG's artist royalty system, including updating the recipient's contact information and tax identification numbers as needed;
• Review and analyze recording agreements, producer agreements and other similar agreements (and any corresponding deal summaries or deal memos) for the purpose of identifying and summarizing the applicable royalty rates, related terms and payee information for a given record or recording and then enter those terms into WMG's artist royalty system;
• Provide the Income Processing Team with direction regarding the royalty rates to be applied to third party licensing income, to ensure that royalty recipients are paid properly.
• Link individual record products to the applicable contractual terms as they have been set-up in WMG's artist royalty system in a timely manner;
• Create and maintain royalty account information for royalty recipients in WMG's artist royalty system, including updating the recipient's contact information and tax identification numbers as needed;

Income Tracking
• Manage 5 employees responsible for receiving and identifying all synch licensing, master use, background-foreground and licensed merch payments and associating them to appropriate deals.
• Oversee two Access database that maintain and manage all synch and master use licensing deals
• Prepare and provide monthly synch licensing accrual reporting
• Prepare monthly synch reconciliations
• Maintain and oversee logs for third party side-artist features
• Liaise with UMG and Sony over missing third party statements. Coordinate with WMG royalties to ensure royalty statements are rendered.
• Maintain and oversee logs for Third Party Merch Licensing. Ensure staff is tracking, invoicing and following-up on owed accountings, advances and guarantees.
Revenue Recordation
• Review and approve approximately eight monthly revenue entries prepared by staff to ensure appropriate coding and expense accruals.
• Reconcile payments being recorded to licensing clearing account activity and cumulative balance, maintain suspense
• Summarize monthly revenues, update Excel logs for revenues received and expenses accrued
• Manually Prepare Intl Synch Entry
Revenue Processing
• Review and approve approximately ten monthly entries prepared by staff for posting artist expense. Coordinate with Accounting Ops to ensure entries posted.
• Maintain batch processing log
• Update Excel logs for revenues processed
• Review Aged Unapplied balances, research and prepare manual entries
• Prepare quarterly KPI reporting
• Prepare quarterly Side-Artist deal reporting and present to label BA and CFO
• Prepare monthly Merch Licensing update for Artist Services
• Review and Approve all Month-End Reporting for Label Finance
• Prepare quarterly synch and third-party feature reporting for APG Head.
