Job Title : Jr . Full Stack Product Designer
A little bit about our team :
ADA is WMG's distribution arm for independent labels and DIY artists . The Product & Integration team is responsible for the technology that services our global community of independent artists & labels . We build tools that artists & labels use to run their careers and businesses.
Our platform ensure s that creative content is distributed out to the market accurately , on time, and set up to industry and artistic standards. We must constantly innovate to keep up with the music industry and provide opportunities, revenue, & promotion tools to the indie community.
Your role :
This role is a unique opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing independent music distributors as the sole full stack designer, reporting to the Head of Tech. You will execute on the ADA product vision & roadmap, while helping to build our team and product culture. You will work with the Tech team to create new products & processes that help us deliver a high volume of new releases to market .
Here you'll get to:
• Be a founding member of ADA's tech team & shape the culture and processes of ADA's product and operations team
• Implement end-to-end prototypes and self-serve tools for DIY artists, internal stakeholders (e.g., Label & Operations Managers), and external stakeholders (e.g., independent label and artist teams)
• Collaborate closely with WMG's Global Product Design team to ship products used by ADA and the wider WMG
org, and maintain the brand guidelines of ADA and our DIY distribution platform, Level, while working within and improving upon a global design system.
• Own ADA's product development across multiple design and tech stacks, including, but not limited to: user research, visual design, UX, content design, brand, voice, process design, prototyping, ''low code'' and ''no code'' product solutions.
• Train under ADA's tech & engineering team to continuously improve your development skills and expand the possibilities of what can be built independently by internal stakeholders such as the
Operations and Marketing teams.
• Skillfully explain your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and encourage feedback to help you produce your best work
• Meet with our end-users – independent labels, artists, and their operations teams – to identify their needs & provide innovative and scalable solutions
About you :
• You have 1 + year of professional experience on an agile tech team, preferably as a Product Designer, Product Manager, or Programmer
• You have successfully built products using HTML and CSS, and are comfortable with at least 1 querying language and programming language (e.g., SQL and Python).
• You are comfortable using Figma or Photoshop, and have experience validating ideas with high-fidelity prototypes.
• You have experience working with a high-performing team of PMs, engineers, and designers
• You have empathy for your custome r s , and user research is an important part of your process
• You are organized, have an efficient personal design system , and you're great at documentation & flow charts
• You have a passion for independent music and helping artists at all stages of their careers
