Job Title: IT Product Owner - Royalties

A little bit about our team:

We are a small group of IT professionals who are tasked with development and support of the Warner royalty systems. You will work directly with royalty and finance teams from the various countries where Warner does business. You will help to bring valuable royalty information from the back-office directly to our artists and other royalty recipients.

Why this could be your next big break:

You will be working closely with the Warner royalty teams around the world, to help them better serve their artist's needs. You will work closely with our engineering team to aid in the design of ongoing Royalties Portal improvement. This role is important to the future of our interactions with artists and other partners. You will have direct influence on the direction of the Royalties Portal and design ongoing processes for royalty delivery.

Here you'll get to:
• You will work directly with Warner teams around the world (over 35 countries)
• You will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders, including business managers, IT managers, and the development team to ensure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with business objectives.
• You will translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
• You will work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
• You will prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog, balancing the requirements of stakeholders with the overall business strategy and objectives
• You will develop and execute on the product roadmap
• You will lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the business processes and technology
• You will provide assistance, support, and training to our royalty teams
• You will strategize with the business team on the best approach to integrate new technology into their regular business process

About you:
• You have a bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related experience
• You have a good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
• You are passionate about the customer and are customer focused
• You are a proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• You have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
• You have a high degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability
• You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable analyzing very large data sets

It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Music industry knowledge
• Music business royalty process knowledge
• Experience working with multi-cultural teams, across countries and time zones
• Understanding of the Agile development methodologies
• An established background in launching software in partnership with business and engineering teams
