The Job

WarnerMedia seeks a Sr Web Application Engineer for the Privacy Engineering and Architecture Department. The role of the Sr Web Application Engineer is to design, develop, implement and support privacy centric web solutions, applications and their integration with WarnerMedia's privacy compliance management suite. The Engineer is expected to demonstrate high level technical skills and will also be responsible for staying current on rapidly changing technologies.

The Daily
• Collaborate with the Architect and other members of the Privacy CoE including privacy technology product leads and analysts to design and build web applications for the privacy compliance management suite.
• Incorporate Privacy by Design (PbD) principles during the various stages of web application design and build.
• Build web solutions utilizing SDKs and Scripts to integrate with SaaS Privacy Platforms and evaluate their periodic feature updates to recommend optimal solutions.
• Act as a technical consultant for implementing Privacy Controls on any new WarnerMedia websites prior to launch.
• Assist in go to market related efforts to drive successful adoption and usage of privacy solutions.
• Evangelize technologies, solutions, and best practices.
• Create design documentations.
• Perform technical troubleshooting, incident, and problem resolution.
• Deliver based on Scrum/Sprint based agile development methodologies.
• Research industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.

The Essentials
• 5+ years of engineering experience in an enterprise IT environment, having performed operational and break/fix activity along with engineering and design.
• Substantial Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (ES6 and beyond)
• Substantial experience with JavaScript frameworks like NodeJS, Angular JS, React JS, jQuery library.
• Experience developing with NoSQL and relational databases.
• Strong understanding of Cookie and browser technology.
• Tag Management and Web Analytics (Google, Adobe etc.,) experience desired.
• Experience with other languages like PHP, Python a plus.
• Experience developing with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) a plus.
• Substantial experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub and other development and collaboration tools.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.
• Must be able to work well under time constraints.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.
• Must be service-oriented.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime, when necessary
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
