The Job

Warner Media seeks a Sr. Solution Developer, Finance IP Licensing for the Enterprise Technology: WB Finance & Planning Solutions department.

This position is responsible to perform analysis of the Finance Business Processes for the IP Licensing Solution for WarnerMedia and propose E2E solutions that fit best based current and future SAP Platforms. This role will further require a deep knowledge of US GAAP and International Statutory Accounting Requirements with the ability to propose functional and technical solutions. The position works closely with the technical development teams but will also be able to configure and code when required. Last, but not least this position will work on design and solution specific in the COSMOS portfolio with focus on Finance
to ensure that WarnerMedia operates high quality and low-cost solutions within their application portfolio.

The Daily
• Partners with Business Unit Finance Teams to develop E2E solutions within the current and future SAP Platform as well as the COSMOS Application
• Designs solutions for business priorities and statutory requirements.
• Suggests alternative solution to customizations to drive standardization where possible.
• Assists with the identification of cross-functional and cross-team dependencies, drives critical design decisions to closure and helps develop cohesive integrated solution.
• Provides guidance to the teams on E2E solution components, with appropriate Quality Assurance and Governance
• Will work closely work with the project manager, project team, and consultants to design and evaluate feasibility of proposed solutions in the context of project budget, risk, and timelines.
• Provides guidance and definition of IT architecture to effectively support the corporate business strategy in Business, Application, Data and Technical Architecture.

The Essentials
• 10+ years of experience in a technology role with finance background, managing liaison between Business Unit and Technology of complex applications across multiple business functions using a variety of technologies.
• 10+ years of experience as a Solution Engineer of implementing and operating large scale, complex applications (preferably SAP).
• 5+ years of experience of Finance and Accounting, preferably in the entertainment industry.
• General knowledge and practical application of the software development life cycle (SDLC), with industry standard best practice methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of SOX controls and processes.
• Experience with business process reengineering.
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• Deep understanding of enterprise level systems, SAP (including SAP CRM, SAP ECC, HANA, FIORI)
• License sales business overall, specified in Entertainment
• Financial Processes for License Sales – Billing, Revenue, Cash
