The Daily
• Handle all guild and union labor issues for television and new media productions, including negotiating and drafting collective bargaining agreements
• Attend production meetings and advise the Company's production, legal affairs, business affairs, casting, finance, residuals, and marketing groups on the application of the various guild and union collective bargaining agreements
• Handle guild and union grievances and production audits, including working with outside counsel and arbitration preparation
• Contribute to training sessions for internal departments
• Assist in preparing for US and Canadian industry-wide negotiations, requiring in-depth analysis of proposals and company positions during bargaining
• Participate and/or serve on behalf of the Company on various AMPTP, guild and union related boards, and committees
The Essentials
• J.D. preferred
• 5+ years of labor, legal, and/or production experience in the entertainment industry, preferably in television and new media
• Working knowledge of the various guild and union collective bargaining agreements
• Strong working relationships with guild and union representatives, and other studio labor executives
• Succinct and effective communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and navigate through difficult situations
• Ability to innovate creative solutions
• Must be able to work with challenging personalities
