The Job
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. seeks a Sr Analyst, Business Development for the Media Sales & Distribution department.
The Sr Analyst, business Development will be responsible for assessing the quantitative and qualitative impacts of multiple deal variables and provide analysis and recommendations related to business models, partner selections, and deal terms for digital transactional licensing, as well as new home-entertainment experiences including smart home, virtual and augmented reality, and other connected experiences. They will support the Home Entertainment Business Development team in negotiation strategies and tactics.
The Daily
• Support negotiations with digital transactional partners by providing both financial and non-financial deal term analysis
• Create business models to evaluate financial impact of business terms on specific partners. and across all digital transactional partners (includes global, broadband, satellite, cable and physical / digital hybrid clients).
• Develop and maintain plan and summary of ongoing negotiations as needed.
• Support managers in procuring information from territories to support negotiation
• Liaise with Legal Affairs to ensure timely execution of deal amendments and extensions
• Evaluate financial viability of new potential business opportunities.
• Model financial forecasts for new opportunities.
• Update and maintain database of new business leads and inquiries. As needed, share opportunities and coordinate discussions with other WB groups and stakeholders
• Research and prepare territory overviews that include all WarnerMedia products in market, key partner summaries and trends
• Identify new monetization opportunities for content distribution and partnerships
• Research and evaluate new technologies, companies and new product entries into market
• Provide financial and deal support in WB's evaluation and development of new technology opportunities
• Develop industry projections around new product
• Update and maintain partner summaries of business terms and conditions
• Track amendments and changes to terms over time. Prepare analysis of terms and financials for renewals and negotiations
• Track new client activity and interactions with other WB divisions (e.g., new products, announcements, promotions)
The Essentials
• 3+ years' experience business modeling.
• Negotiating experience preferred
• Transactional Streaming/Digital Media experience is preferred
• BA/BS in Business related major or statistics or equivalent work experience required.
• MBA preferred.
• Proven track record of presenting financial findings
• Extensive experience with Excel and complex modeling
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Confidence to conduct cold outreach and engage with potential clients
• Demonstrated strength and eloquence communicating in email as well as verbally
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills
• Must be detail oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Must have the ability to work effectively under time constraints
• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks
