The Job

The Specialist, Mastering is responsible for daily operations to support remastering catalog content including asset research, movement of picture and audio elements, purchase orders, content review, project management, and assurance of timelines and budgets. The Specialist will also provide additional support for other workstreams, including audio sync and conform, closed captions, encoding, and managing client rejections.

The Daily
• Support for remastering projects, including asset research, movement of picture and audio elements, content reviews, and project management
• Creation and approval of purchase orders to enable work with partners and vendors
• Support for other workstreams: audio sync and conform, closed captions, and encoding
• Support for resolution of client rejections

The Essentials
• College degree strongly preferred
• 4-6 years working with digital formats, and understanding of new formats such as UHD HDR, Dolby ATMOS, etc.
• 4-6 years of experience managing production workflows
• 2-4 years of experience managing clients, including direct client communication
• Knowledge of Gator (Xytech) systems a plus
• Experience writing or approving purchase orders
• Experience working with colorists preferred
• Understanding of film elements, including color, dirt and scratch, and grain
• Strong understanding of film, video and audio formats
• Knowledge of digital specs, workflows, and best practices
• Knowledge of industry and ability to adapt & incorporate best practices
• Strong project management skills to ensure all projects are on-time and on-budget
• Strong communication – ability to present findings and recommendations to management
• Client management – risk assessment, assurance of timelines and priorities
• Vendor management – ability to manage many vendors across diverse workstreams ​
