THE JOB

This is an exciting time to join this team!

With the accelerating fusion of broadcast with networking and computing, we require an individual to help link systems together and automate tasks to better leverage the capabilities of the Distribution and Transmission group.

You would be tasked with writing programs to link systems together from multiple vendors, collect logs and correlate alarms to speed in root cause analysis. You would provide guidance to the group on how to further automate and virtualize functions to provide better value to the company.

THE DAILY
• Understand the use cases and the requirements from internal client teams and/or client services and provide technical solutions. This includes attending meetings, provide estimates, and communicate project plans to stakeholders.
• Write effective, scalable code with proper error handling and logging.
• Test and debug programs and improve functionality of existing systems.
• Thoroughly document all programs and processes developed.
• Available to support high profile events.

THE ESSENTIALS
• At least 4 years of experience developing code to integrate products from multiple vendors
• Experience with C++, C#
• Experience developing and implementing monitoring and automation tools
• Experience with Python, Ansible, Netmiko
• Hands-on database experience, specifically experience querying, designing, and maintaining SQL
• Experience with Skyline's Dataminer EMS
• Experience working with RESTful API's using JSON, XML
• Experience setting up and working in cloud-hybrid environments
• Ability to work with teams in multiple cities over multiple time zones

THE NICE TO HAVES
• Experience with modern broadcast technologies including ST-2110, NDI, JPEG XS, NMOS
• Experience with Git as well as bash scripting
• Experience with long haul data transport via fiber, satellite, bonded cellular
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with DRM platforms (Widevine, Veramatrix, etc.)
• Strong data analysis skills & experience with data wrangling
• Experience with video test and measurement standards such as ETR-101 290
• Demonstrated experience operating in both Linux and windows environments
• Knowledge of content delivery networks (CDNs) and support for multiple CDN distribution options
• Familiarity with streaming technologies and video transport including, but not limited to, HLS, MPEG DASH, WebRTC, SRT, RIST, Zixi

EDUCATION

BS in any Engineering field, Computer Science, or IT

Certifications: CCNA, BCSE
