The Job

The Senior Systems Engineer (Desktop Engineering) will be an integral member of the WB Games global IT team and the Burbank support team. This role will be the point person for global windows endpoint management, using Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM). Managing the global endpoint configurations will require regular collaboration with business process owners to identify, recommend, implement, and support technology solutions.

An ideal candidate will be highly technical, and able to take on subject matter expertise in Microsoft SCCM and some of our other systems and applications. Being based in Burbank, the role will also be asked to support the Burbank office with day-to-day IT support during periods of short staffing or extremely busy periods.

The global Games IT team will rely on this role to ensure the success of our game development, and colleagues will look to this role for escalation and support daily.

This individual will work with studio and enterprise teams in planning, design, documentation, and implementation of technology services including desktop, laptop, software, network and other IT services.

An ideal candidate will be an experienced IT engineer who has worked in a fast-moving business, with several years of global Windows endpoint management experience coupled with an exemplary customer-centric approach. We are looking for self-motivated candidates, comfortable with taking ownership and providing customer support in a collaborative manner.

The Daily
• Support for WBIE Production and Operations teams
• Management of Active Directory (Assign users and computers to proper organizational units and security groups in Active Directory
• Managing Windows & Mac imaging for Burbank Studio
• Management of VMWare for Burbank Studio
• Management of Linux for the backend of Burbank playtest server
• Management of Docker for the backend of Burbank playtest server
• Automating configuration management with MECM/SCCM and PowerShell for all WBG Sites globally
• Leads vulnerability remediation efforts at multiple studios across the WBIE Games Infrastructure
• Collaborate with Desktop Engineers to facilitate deployment of requested software & imaging
• Collaborate with Security to remediate vulnerabilities & deploy requested security software
• Deployment of software with AWS Systems Manager & MECM/SCCM
• Advanced troubleshooting of all MECM/SCCM sites, roles, and client issues
• Track, and monitor, any issues with security patches via MECM/SCCM reports
• Responsible for strategically planning a consolidation of old MECM/SCCM instances to new hardware
• Test new software updates or applications before deploying to a wider group
• Package and test new applications in MECM/SCCM
• Image, configure and deploy new Windows and OSX hardware to new and existing Burbank WBIE Production employees
• Assisting in new employee onboardings
• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
• Install and setup computer peripherals for new and existing users
• Provide general Audio Video support for a variety of conference rooms as needed
• Train and guide users with any application issues
• Record, track, monitor and resolve incidents and requests in the service management system.
• Process requests for and deploys new hardware
• Create Documentation in Confluence
• Must have good communication skills, high-level ability to think strategically and face problems head-on
• This resource will be joining a team of 3 to assist in daily/ weekly software and hardware requests and issues

The Essentials
• 8+ years of hands-on Desktop/Systems Engineering experience in a hybrid PC/MAC environment
• Microsoft 70-243 Certification
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certificate
• Windows & Mac troubleshooting, support & experience
• Experience in Active Directive and LDAP
• Experience remotely upgrading and repairing PC/Windows
• Senior level experience troubleshooting level 3/4 issues pertaining to AWS, VMware, Windows & Linux Servers
• Strong experience working with MECM/SCCM, Engineer needs to understand the backend of SCCM and LDAP
• Experience setting up Okta (multi-factor authentication)
• Experience working with Ivanti 3rd party patching
• Team-lead experience; ability to give direction
