Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITY
• Seeks out for optimization opportunities and be up-to-date in the evolution of content
• Standards and OTT/Digital based platforms & workflows and technologies by working in tandem with architecture, development, PMO, Product, Digital Ops and Support to ensure a high level performance of the services and workflows
• Participates in research, testing scripts development and documenting video encoding specifications for each supply chain used to deliver content to affiliates and digital products.
• Provide tech-ops expertise to discern workflow VOD/Live requirements. Assist on Develop, test and document new methods for processing video to perform specific functionality based on high-level requirements and new technology.
• Being part on picture quality evaluations of existing and future Video encoding profiles. This includes video degradation testing through the supply chain, video quality comparisons and prepare detailed reports of those tests.
• Oversees existing processes and makes recommendations to improve the current ones or brings new proposals
• Collaborates and acts as a liaison among other technical and product areas to optimize strategies and to identify new customers' needs, tools and solutions as our tech stack evolves
• Give Support L1/L2 to other operational areas for automated processes to better process content along with the meta-data as a driver for workflows efficiencies. Develop and
• Implement Workarounds and provide technical feedback for long-term solutions. Contribute innovative video workflows to maximize efficiency and scalability on media processes
• Assists on the understanding on mapping, transformation and re-build of meta-data models regardless the source schemas to manipulate, transform and deliver the proper files (video, audio, subtitles, image, escence, etc) schemas either via file based or RestFul API Integrations

Minimum Experience Requirements
• 2+ years hands-on experience with video streaming Live/VOD, processing and protection. Familiar with setting up and managing content preparation, automation, scaling, elasticity, performance & security
• Experience with video encoding systems such as Telestream Vantage, AWS Elemental, Aspera, Bitmovin, Media Workflows.
• Proven IT and Networking skills such as OS Support for Windows and Linux Strong familiarity with XML or JSON data handling.
• Knowledge and working experience with industry standard formats for digital media (e.g., h.264, HEVC. mxf, HDR), (Dolby Vision)

Desirable Requirements (Not Mandatory)
• Experience with Cloud based architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP) or Cloud Certification.
• Knowledge of industry standard formats for digital rights management (DRM) (e.g., PlayReady, WideVine, FairPlay, Verimatrix, etc.) Experience working with Caption documents such as SRT, TTML, MCC Experience working with Metadata frameworks such as CableLabs, MovieLabs.
• Dynamic Encoding, ABR, Analytics, AdServing. Experience with relational and object data bases
• Akamai, Cloudfront or Level3 CDN - API-request/calls integrations and caching directives
