Job Description
Purpose

The Senior Manager, Franchise Management, Korea, will be responsible for companywide (and across business lines) initiatives around the key franchises and IP of Warnermedia.

The Business lines the candidate will work closely with – WM Theatrical, TV distribution & Home entertainment, Network – Linear and SVOD, Licensing - Consumer Products.

The candidate will work closely with the Sr Director, Franchise Management on a 12 - 24 month franchise management strategy for the Korean market. They will be the key resource for all LOB's in the Korean market working closely with the other marketing functions such as brand, digital & social, partner marketing as well as local teams.

Job Functions

A. Strategy
• Develop 12- 24 month plan centered around the key franchises of WarnerMedia for the Korean market.
• Work closely with each business line (theatrical, TV Dist & home video, network, licensing & consumer products) on their milestones and areas of opportunity to develop an integrated cross-company plan.
• To align with global priorities and localize and implement for the Korean market.
• Create a strategy based on a strong foundation of Consumer insights & data and knowledge of the market.

• DC Universe (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman)
• Wizarding World (Harry Potter)
• Looney Tunes (Tom & Jerry, Tweety Pie)
• Teen Titans Go
• Game of Thrones
• Rick and Morty

B. Implementation
• Working with key stakeholders on converting regional plans into local execution.
• Coordinate with brand, digital & social, and partner marketing teams on assets creation, global resources, keyed into media strategy across company and requirements for the same.
• Take lead on local execution on global Warner events eg. DC Fandome

C. Brand Salience
• Brand custodian of Warner IP and franchises in the Korean market.
• Obsessed with making sure that all assets, comms are in line with brand guidelines.
• Coordinate with global franchise teams to make sure that media rollout for global priorities are in line.

D. Partnerships
• Be the key partner and point of contact for the consumer products, licensing and partnerships team in Korea
• Identify potential marketing, content, and live event/experience partnerships for all LOB's in the market, working closely with the partnerships team to make sure that companywide priorities are being factored into plans.
• Identifying local market opportunities in owned & operated media, partnership opportunities with clients from other LOBs, earned media opportunities etc.

E. Define, monitor and report KPIs
• Identify key KPIs and measurements of success. Monitor these parameters through the year, course-correct where necessary.

Person specification
• Fluent in Korean and English
• A combination of strategic thinking, consumer insights and data savviness, marketing and communications activations, product development, and strong creative vision
• Experience of working at entertainment organizations strategy teams, organizations with strong franchise development track record.
• Collaborative – ability to work with multiple stakeholders, bring together multiple streams of work to deliver best-in-class execution.
• Proactive and confident – able to represent the Korean market
• Deliver under pressure - ability to meet deadlines (often tough).
• Strong leadership skills.
• Experienced in working with agencies, communication partners.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong consumer focus
