The Job

The Sr. Manager, Business Development – Developer Relations will support WB Games' business development initiatives, working closely with the Exec. Dir. of Business Development and studio leads in identifying partners and negotiating transactions in furtherance of strategic initiatives build around the world's most popular IPs, including Harry Potter, DC and Game of Thrones.

In addition to being the face of WB Games to the external development community (some travel required), this role will track the landscape of established and emerging developers and trends in the industry, manage the evaluation and due diligence process for potential partners, create effective presentations for senior leadership, and negotiate new product development, platform porting and outsourcing deals to ensure internally developed products are timely shipped and on budget. The Sr. Manager will interact with a broad variety of companies in the video game ecosystem and will be a key player in 'selling' the value of a partnership with WB Games.

The ideal candidate will have existing relationships and significant experience identifying partners in the video game industry as well as fluency in a broad variety of deal models used in the video game industry. The ideal candidate will also have experience in driving the deal process, starting from sourcing and evaluating opportunities, negotiating contracts and then providing partner support post-execution.

The Essentials
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Business Development, Partner Management
• Experience evaluating and conducting due diligence of videogame developers
• Experience building strategic frameworks for evaluating new business opportunities
• Negotiating a broad range of transactions across the video game ecosystem
• Understanding of video game industry
• Skill in building strategic frameworks for evaluating opportunities
• Ability to both understand and articulate business needs with cross divisional departments such as marketing, game designers and technical teams
• Ability to build internal consensus
• Problem-solving attitude.
• Structure and negotiate contracts
• Deep knowledge of console and mobile games businesses, competitive landscape and emerging trends
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to present to CEO-level audience
• Strong attention to detail
• BA/BS required
