The Job

Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution is one of the world's largest distributors of feature films, television programs and animation to the domestic television marketplace (broadcast, pay cable, basic cable, satellite, pay-per-view, subscription video-on-demand, digital platforms, etc.). It licenses tens of thousands of programming hours (including more than 6,500 features and 3,000 television programs, comprised of tens of thousands of individual episodes).

Global Business Services (GBS) is WarnerMedia global shared services accounting team. The team serves to provide efficient and scalable global finance and accounting services to the WarnerMedia Group of Companies. The company seeks a detailed, proactive, team-oriented, able to critically think and work independently Senior Financial Analyst, for the International Television Distribution Department. This position includes but not limited to responsibilities of Monthly Closes, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Participations & Audit inquiries support.

The Daily

1. Domestic Television Distribution
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly deliverables; by-title reporting, Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow variance explanations, footnotes, and disclosures
• Support day-to-day general accounting and reporting activities
• Becoming a ''Go-To'' person or the primary contact from Business Unit and Corporate departments (FRG, FCRA, or Tax) on inquiries and requests
• Managing and reviewing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider deliverables as needed
• Taking ownership on Account Reconciliations and Standardization initiatives
• Assisting with Participations, Sarbanes-Oxley, and financial audit requests (including statutory audits for international territories)
• Facilitate meetings to Management to develop executive presence
• Responsible for the Product Integration line of Business. Includes working with the business unit to get terms of agreements, deal creation, revenue accruals, and reconciliations.

2. Act as liaison for the GBS in connection with the Business Unit, FP&A, and Financial Operations organizations, retained Business Unit departments (sales, marketing, business affairs, etc.) and various WB Corporate departments (CFR, FPP, Tax, MIS, Treasury, Legal, Participations).

3. Make recommendations on process improvements and standardization to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness within the finance organization.

4. Other special projects as required.

The Essentials
• 3+ years previous work experience in an accounting or finance field.
• Highly motivated, analytical, proactive, and self-sufficient
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person, via email or other digital format and on the telephone.
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively.
• Must have the ability to multi-task projects simultaneously and able to prioritize.
• Must be able to adopt in a changing environment and quickly learn new concepts, solve problems, and implement solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel.
• Must be able to work reasonable overtime, if necessary.
• Previous ''Big 4'' accounting experience preferred.
• Working in shared service and/or outsourcing environment a plus.
• Experience working with large amounts of data preferred.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
