Summary of the role

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for providing ongoing analysis and support across multiple projects and initiatives to support Enterprise Technology business functions and other business units where required. This position will assess and document complex business requirements, produce functional and technical designs, development, testing, deployment, and operational support activities. This individual will provide functional support on day to day business process initiatives for current systems, new systems and, new technology business transformation initiatives.

This role will provide technical solutions predominantly in the Financial applications area. One of the primary applications in this space is SAP however this role will support multiple applications integrating into our ERP landscape across the enterprise technology application portfolio. This role will work directly with business end-users to understand business requirements, and will then use their technical and functional knowledge to support the design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment/cutover phases to implement to production. This will include the management of vendor relationships for compliance and CSO reporting to both leadership and CSO teams to ensure compliance and governance as well as oversight of outsourced 3rd party Service Providers to insure integrity of the implemented design.

Areas of Responsibility
• Lead the effort to define Warner Media functional requirements for applications and vendor systems from concept to completion.
• Partners with business users and other Warner Media technology stakeholder to define technical requirements, determines scope, and estimates the effort in the development of Technology requirements.
• Leads application development related activities while ensuring that appropriate governance exists for all delivery of technology solutions.
• Maintain requirements with suitable change management throughout project lifecycles.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of existing applications and services currently in use by Warner Media Clients. Support Application Owners in governance and CSO compliance
• Ensure all UAT is completed to a suitable standard to progress ongoing projects to production.
• Attend meetings as requested by managers to collect new project data and team impact to document and share with rest of the teams.
• Participate in projects regarding the deployment of software and hardware components to our clients, documenting technology and business workflow processes.
• Actively participate on new vendor onboarding including attending meetings with the Project/Program Manager where required to document any requirements.
• Maintain an ongoing relationship with our business clients and escalate any reported service issues to the Director, Business Technology & Workplace Solutions
• Provide Senior Business Analysis support to the global work force in line with Warner Media Governance structures. Predominant focus will be EMEA enterprise technology.

Selection criteria

Technical Skills:
• 8+ years of experience reviewing, analysing, facilitating and providing input on business requirements
• Understanding of application technology and associated solutions and strategies related to the client's business to help them achieve their business goals and objectives
• In depth knowledge and practical application of the software development life cycle (SDLC), with industry standard best practice methodologies.
• Ability to translate business process requirements into technology solutions
• Strong knowledge of ERP and SaaS client application(s) that support(s) the business process, with practical implementation of multiple modules / applications
• Knowledge of SAP ERP Financials and associated accounting functions and related integration to upstream and downstream systems
• In depth knowledge of Application, Infrastructure and network security standards and industry best practices
