The Job
Monolith Productions, developers of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of War, are seeking talented game developers to join us in creating our next big gaming innovation. This role can expect to be passionate about growing and pruning a lush, beautiful, and unique landscape to the delight of players and botanists worldwide.

The Daily
• Style Guide creation, Concept and Reference Analysis, Asset Planning, Collaboration
• Vegetation asset creation (geometry, textures, materials, properties)
• Vegetation asset placement utilizing procedural and manual tools
• Ownership and maintenance of all vegetation content and placement rulesets

The Essentials
• Expertise using Speedtree, Maya/3ds Max, Zbrush, Substance Painter
• Expertise in creation of performant real-time vegetation, techniques, and placements
• Excellent understanding of geology/rock formations, terrain, and vegetation interactions
• Strong organization skills with adherence to file structures, naming conventions, and other established protocols including other contributor's content
• Responsible for overall vegetation look for project while communicating and collaborating with Art Direction, Graphics Engineers, World Team, and Leads.

• Experience with Houdini
• Experience with photogrammetry
• Experience with proprietary Engines
• Experience with vegetation shaders
• Love of nature and natural forms
