NetherRealm Studios is looking for a Senior Artist to join the Character team.

The Daily
• Create 3D characters assets for a video game based on direction from the project Art Director, Concept Artist and Art Leads.
• Provide art outsource feedback and spec, through video or written tasking/feedback, demos, and remote calls
• Mentor your fellow character art-focused development team members to help enhance the team's skills and overall quality of studio products.
• Research, develop and recommend pipeline, and best practices in the creation of high-quality characters, and create documentation and training
• Work with other artists in multiple sub-disciplines

The Essentials
• Knowledge of anatomy with strong understanding of form, shape language, color & design
• Strong proficiency in 3D Studio Max, Zbrush, Photoshop , Substance Suite and Unreal Engine
• Able to prep characters in Maya for animation
• Understands game technology and pipeline required for creating characters
• Excellent texturing skills in Substance Painter with a PBR workflow
• Manage own time and deliver assets within production deadlines

The Nice to Haves
• 6+ years of industry experience and at least 2 shipped titles
• Any Technical Art skill is a plus, Shader creation, Rigging, Tool creation.
• Passionate about creating games & playing them
