Rocksteady Studios is an award-winning, critically acclaimed video game developer. Founded in 2004, we are home to the widely celebrated Batman: Arkham series of games. We're a one-project studio that built our success by combining genre-defining gameplay and character-driven cinematic narrative with AAA production values. We are looking for a Senior AI Programmer to make a significant impact on our latest AAA title – Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. In this role you will be expected to identify and apply relevant AI techniques and approaches to drive NPC and player behaviour.

You'll be working as part of a team of AI experts, so will get the chance to work with bleeding-edge Game AI tech, and solve complicated AI challenges. Our AI team are given the opportunity to drive and own their own features, so you'll be given the autonomy to tackle development challenges in creative, new ways.

You'll also be responsible for being the bridge between the AI team and the other coding teams at Rocksteady, so you'll get lots of exposure to the work our other teams do.

This role can be offered on a remote, hybrid working, or studio based basis.

Responsibilities
• Driving AI features through all stages of production: design, scheduling, implementation and polish
• To work with the Code and Design leads to prioritise feature development
• To work closely with other departments and give direction and feedback on requirements for the AI features being implemented
• To provide support for the Design team on the use of all AI features.

Requirements
• Advanced understanding in C/C++
• Passionate and knowledgeable about the field of Game AI and related technologies: i.e. world-state representation, automated planning and behaviour modelling techniques
• An advanced understanding of the main gaming platforms and the requirements needed to develop software on them
• A good understanding of modern AAA game development, including associated technology such as real-time game engines

Bonus Points
• Unreal Engine experience an advantage
