Purpose of Role

Provide research support to all departments at Warner Bros. Discovery (across commerce, content and communications sectors), helping them to achieve their goals through the provision of audience, consumer and market insight.

Responsibilities
• Generation of regular weekly audience performance reports covering Kids, Lifestyle Infotainment, English GEC & Sports.
• Perform analysis of BARC data, track competition and develop actionable insights.
• Perform Primary and Secondary research to identify Core Markets, Target Groups, Consumer Affinity and Brand Perception for the channels
• Develop channel dashboards to understand and improvise channel performance
• Support Distribution team through regular mining and dissemination of connectivity reports.
• Support marketing teams to formulate & execute marketing plans on TV for new launch & existing shows.
• Respond to Ad-hoc requests to track various Show & brand performances on Linear Platform.
• Maintain viewership database for Warner Bros. Discovery channels & competition.
• Work on 3rd party research data to derive actionable insights for the WBD brands and shows.
• Tracking industry reports to monitor and uprise the management about the changing media landscape.

Experience & Qualifications
• University Graduate (Engineering / Management / Media background preferred)
• At least 2-4 years of media agency / broadcaster research experience
• Expert user of BARC and other media research software

Desired Knowledge & Experience
• Ideally MBA, preferably in research / media-related disciplines, such as statistics, media studies, communication etc.
• Involvement in quant and qual primary research
• Knowledge of Internet / Digital research Databases / techniques
• Understanding of the Broadcast Distribution sector will be an added advantage.

Competency Assessment
• Must be extremely numerate, analytical and comfortable with handling large volumes of data.
• Clear written and oral communication in English, and capable of giving formal presentations.
• Must be a good team player working across various departments.
• Ability to multitask and handle pressures of multiple requests simultaneously.
• Expert user of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Needs to pro-actively update and make available the database as a ready reckoner and thereby improve work productivity for the team.
• Sets priorities and adjusts them as needed when unexpected tasks arise.
• Takes pride in work and maintains good working relationship - willing to help.
