The Job
Warner Bros. Studio Operations seeks a Captain for the Food Services department.

The Daily

The Captain supervises, delegates work stations and trains represented employees within Food Services. Duties include floor supervision, opening and closing the food service venues, pre-shifts, cashiering, hosting, supporting the culinary operation by ensuring the food looks and tastes great, and the stations are clean and safe. The position orders food, equipment and supplies at the direction of management. The Captain works closely with management to ensure a well-prepared department to service all type of events, including production catering and fine-dining.

The Essentials
• Must have 3+ years of related experience in a high-volume food & beverage operation. Preferred experience in a banquet facility, hotel/conference center, restaurant, commissary, or catering event company.
• Supervisory experience within a high-volume food & beverage venue is strongly considered.
• A valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate is required. This demonstrates a commitment to the cleanliness of the kitchen areas, and commitment to food and physical safety.
• Must have good verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to communicate and build relationships effectively and tactfully with guests, fellow staff, and other levels of personnel.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include frequently working beyond the standard shift of approximately 8 hours per day. Working some weekends and holidays are required.
• Standard shift is approximately 7.5 hours per day, plus a 30-minute paid meal break, with a minimum of 6 hours worked.
• Physical exertion requiring standing for long periods, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, cleaning food services equipment, and maneuvering heavy weights up to 50+ lbs.
• Transportation is required to get to work and/or catering job sites.
• Valid CA Driver License required
