Program & Asset Metadata Specialist

The Content Acquisition (CA) Program Operations team is responsible for the overall integrity of the data within the TEAM and Keystone/ Welder business systems, which facilitate Content Acquisition's end to end workflows for all HBO Original Programming, and HBOMAX scripted Original Programming. End to end workflows include material receipt from our content partners, QC and enhancement; and delivery of distribution ready product to Warner Media's Global Supply Chain (GMSC). The TEAM and Keystone/ Welder applications also track and manage technical specifications, enhancements, and associated metadata for all HBO Original Programming, and HBOMAX scripted originals offered across Warner Media's linear, SVOD and streaming platforms, and those offered to Warner Media's International and Enterprises partners. CA Program Ops data informs and enables processes and workflows for multiple workstreams, including those of Post-production, Publicity and Marketing Operations, Business Affairs, Programming Planning & Scheduling, Digital Media Operations, Global Media Delivery & Broadcast and Digital Products teams. The data also supports and enables consumer facing features and services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform record creation and content metadata validation, to support content receipt and other internal and external operational workflows
• Ensure availability of program and content metadata for publication to dependent stakeholder systems
• Send approved content to media supply chain making it available for fulfilment requests and platform distribution
• Communicate daily content status updates to internal and external stakeholder teams
• Perform title and asset research by working with internal staff to assess approval status and technical issues related to source assets
• Analyze program schedules and coordinate with stakeholder groups including Program Planning and Scheduling, Digital Media Ops and Broadcast teams to determine appropriate timing for executing asset replacements
• Examine program schedules and execute requests for content version and format availability
• Ensure that copies of approved masters are sent to West coast production teams in a timely manner
• Participate in asset data and reporting projects to support ongoing initiatives as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years content or media operations experience
• Accuracy, extreme attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as various collaboration tools and apps (E.g. Google Drive, Sharepoint, Smartsheets)
• The ability to understand business and report requirements and translate them into operational requirements are a plus
• Knowledge of Business Objects, Tableau and or SQL/ data sets a plus
• Knowledge of media industry standards (E.g. SMPTE) and file-based media formats (e.g. MXF, AS-02, OP-1a, ProRes, H.264) a plus
• Willingness to be available for short-notice overtime as required
