Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Pitch compelling and original stories and ideas that adhere to Style's editorial mission
• Write news pieces as well as in-depth features
• Produce world-class editorial coverage for Style using a mix of digital, video, interactive and social storytelling techniques.
• Identify and commission a broad and diverse network of talent to contribute to Style (writers, experts, photographers, videographers).
• Be accountable for the production of assigned content, from sourcing visuals to release
• Ensure the optimal performance of editorial by refining headlines, tease images and social language
• Work closely with social and programming teams to ensure the smooth flow of content around the site and social networks
• Working with CNN's photo desk and graphics team to ensure stories are visually compelling

Requirements:
• 3+ years of writing for reputable print or digital publications
• Good understanding of regional news in APAC and cultural trends across CNN Style's coverage areas
• Extreme attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines
• Exceptional writing and reporting skills
• A good eye for strong photography and visuals
• A solid understand of media law and journalistic ethics
• A willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of an unpredictable news cycle
• Strong interpersonal skills Experience of reporting, writing and editing for a global digital publication.
• Experience commissioning content from writers.
• Experience leading teams and working across departments and borders.
• Strives for excellence and is passionate about fashion, architecture, arts, landscape, etc...
• Good understanding of regional trends.
• Must have excellent communication and networking skills.
