PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

CNN Digital International is looking for a Digital Producer to create ambitious, distinctive content and build on CNN's global leadership in original journalism, breaking news and video. The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of what makes a good digital story that can engage audiences on different platforms in different parts of the world.

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Write, produce and pitch original digital content that gives CNN a distinctive voice and competitive edge
• Work with CNN correspondents across Asia to develop cross-platform content
• Write daily news stories and long-form features
• Help manage CNN's homepage, index pages and other digital products as required
• Show a deep understanding of the international news agenda – particularly across wider Asia -- and identify compelling angles and stories
• Work with TV and newsgathering colleagues to get the best digital stories and content needed for visual/descriptive storytelling
• Ensures all content adheres to CNN standards and integrity

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Must have solid news judgment
• Extensive knowledge of the international news agenda and curiosity to keep learning
• Needs to be innovative and interested in finding new ways of delivering digital journalism to a large audience
• Solid experience in digital media, specifically with website production, content management systems and web analytics
• Understanding of journalistic standards and media law
• Track record in creative digital storytelling
• Self-starter with a history of delivering outstanding results
• Perfect grasp of written and spoken English and able to represent CNN.com internally and externally
• Multilingual competency or another Asian language is an advantage
