Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. This 200-acre secure site has a half a million square feet of stage space, a back-lot tank, one of the largest heated underwater filming tanks in Europe and a 100 acre back-lot. It also owns Set-Lighting and Rigging - a rentals division, WB De Lane Lea - a post-production facility and Leavesden Park - a contemporary office complex. It is the only Hollywood owned studio of its calibre to be operated in the UK.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is the only place in the world to showcase the authentic sets, props, and behind-the-scenes secrets of the Harry Potter films at the location where they were made. It has attracted over 12 million visitors since opening in 2012 and has received over 40,000 reviews on TripAdvisor with 96% rating the experience as 'excellent' or 'very good'. Since launching, additions to the Tour include Platform 9 ¾ featuring the original Hogwarts Express, the Forbidden Forest and Gringotts Wizarding Bank.

In December 2018 WBSL acquired the Platform 9 ¾ group which sells Wizarding World merchandise, souvenirs, and collectibles. It includes shops at Kings Cross Station, Heathrow Terminal 5, and Gatwick's North Terminal, as well as opening stores at The Cursed Child theatre productions in London, New York, and Melbourne

The Job

Reporting to the HR Director, the main purpose of this role is the delivery of HR change & transformation projects as well as supporting with generalist HR service across the business; ensuring that WBSL complies with employment legislation, WBSL Policies and Procedures and operates best practice in all areas of Human Resources. The role also involves supporting the Director of HR in the development and implementation of key HR initiatives and will be supporting on a 1-year maternity cover.

The Duties

HR Transformation
• Support HR transformation of rolling out ER training and HR practice across the business.
• Development and delivery of ER workshops to people manager – Managers in all WBSL BU's.
• Manage the sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes.
• Develop and deliver HR toolkit with templates and management guides.
• Work alongside legal trainer and take over the delivery of ER management training programs.
• Work alongside the management teams to implement the matrix of HR support and activity.
• Support Studio and Tour teams on HR best practice process going forward.
• Work alongside Senior People Development Manager in the construction and delivery of new HR practice against the agreed HR matrix.
• Proactively look for efficiencies within the department.

Generalist
• Support of day-to-day ER issues (sickness absence, misconduct issues & Grievances).
• Provide day-to-day support in HR general questions and respond in a reasonable timeframe.
• Fully conversant in HR Policies.
• Co-ordinate workshops for managers in line with changes in legislation.
• Support/organise HR training and events for HR Transformation project.
• Support stakeholders in performance management.
• Assist with recruitment process & approvals as required using Workday.

The Essentials
• HR transformation delivery experience.
• Experience with development and delivery of HR change programs.
• Previous HR delivery to a client group in excess of 500 employees.
• Extensive ER knowledge to deliver training through transformation.
• A degree or equivalent level qualification with HR.
• Proven HR Advisor/Partner experience within a multi-function area.
• Up to date Employment Law knowledge.

The Nice-to-Haves
• Preferred work experience – Retail, Tour attraction, logistics and distribution, direct to Consumer.
• Ability to take initiative using own discretion and skills and work with limited supervision; discreet and able to treat information within the department as highly confidential.
• Able to work on own initiative and establish workable proposals for projects.
• Able to build good relationships with internal/external customers and establish credibility quickly.
• Helpful, inquisitive and has a good sense of humour.
• Computer literate – confident and experienced with HR Databases and with a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office to an intermediate level – particularly Excel.
• Excellent organisation and follow up skills; ability to prioritise, delegate; excellent time management skills.
• Professional, diplomatic, confident with good social skills; able to deal with all levels of staff and management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident communicating at all levels within the organisation.
• Good Numerical Skills and analytical with the ability to analyse data and convert into concise reports; meticulous attention to detail including proof reading.
• Patient, calm and unflappable nature with a flexible approach.
