Job Description

This role sits within the Central Metadata team within WMTO. The team is responsible for managing the WM metadata library to ensure the availability and quality of metadata for use across WM and for distribution to our own and affiliate platforms.

Working closely with Programming and Global Metadata teams across EMEA, APAC, US and LATAM you will be responsible for ensuring the correct and timely entry of metadata into WM systems to drive the content supply chain workflow. You will act as advisor on data structure, researching and analysing metadata to ensure data integrity and quality, and will manage the change control process for updates, working with legal and downstream system owners to ensure alignment of changes.

You will be responsible for analysing and reporting on the metadata database to identify gaps and work with relevant teams across WM to enrich data in line with WM metadata governance standards, for use across all platforms and services, as well as supporting the de-duplication of data within the global workflows.

The role will work alongside operations, legal, programming and finance teams.

Key elements
• Create title records within WM metadata system aligned to programming pipelines and contracts, ensuring integrity of data structure and title deduplication to support the media supply chain.
• Research and source data for enrichment of records, validate against technical QC guidelines for entry into systems, ensuring the fullest dataset possible and in line with publication requirements to support distribution to WM and affiliate platforms
• Source and QC metadata including Title, Genre, Cast & Crew, Synopses, etc ensuring consistency of data in line with governance guidelines. Liaise with metadata teams across WM globally to ensure alignment of data ID's across systems and avoid duplication within the media supply chain.
• Manage the metadata change control process, working with relevant downstream system owners including Programming, Legal, Content Ops and Business System Support, to ensure changes are approved and managed correctly.
• Analysis and validation of data within WM metadata systems to identify gaps within our dataset across all languages.
• Manage metrics reporting for stakeholders and management, including weekly & monthly summary reports for review where appropriate.
• An understanding of end to end workflows, working in close partnership with multiple teams to understand the impact of metadata changes for the various systems throughout the supply chain. Regular review of workflows and participation in optimization and process improvement initiatives.

• Experience working within a similar role
• Understanding of importance of editorial metadata, for consumer, SEO purposes etc.
• Understanding of media supply chain workflows
• Analytical with a high level of attention to detail
• Experience of supporting automated workflows and ability to input into technical solutions
• Excellent linguistic skills, including understanding of different language sentence structure, grammar, punctuation.
