The Job

Warner Bros. Distributing Inc. seeks a Media Analyst for the Domestic Media department.

The Media Department is primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of advertising budgets and the purchase of media for all domestic theatrical filmed releases. In developing these plans, the department deals directly with advertising agencies and all broadcast media, national print, radio and outdoor media.

Under general direction, the Media Analyst assists in the maintenance of media campaigns and prepares and monitors reports with weekly changes. The Media Analyst may also perform special assignments and related tasks as needed.

The Daily
• Prepares/maintains and issues various reports/emails on a weekly basis, i.e. PowerPoint presentations, media/budget trackers, material deadlines report, LA media calendars, out-of-home charts and out-of-home calendars, newspaper calendar, box office numbers, budget emails to Finance department.
• Assists in reviewing cable buys. Must stay up to date on current programs and specials.
• Responsible for setting up and maintaining film documents within the WB internal database, as well as handling weekly data entry and uploading information while ensuring accuracy.
• Assists in communicating multicultural, radio and outdoor buys to appropriate internal departments
• Assists in maintaining Canadian and digital spending by film, and notifies the respective departments of budget changes.
• Assists Sr. Media Analysts with monitoring media plans and tracking budgets.
• Assists with ongoing competitive research and special film projects as needed.

The Essentials
• Some advertising/media planning experience required.
• Previous experience directly related to motion picture industry is a plus.
• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or Advertising preferred.
• Knowledge of traditional media (TV, Radio, Out-of-Home) and understands how and why they are utilized in developing strategic campaigns.
• Must be able to accurately maintain and monitor budget trackers.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe presentations& Outlook programs.
• Must be able to communicate with supervisors on media related issues.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
• Must have ability to communicate effectively & tactfully with persons on all levels, in person, & on phone.
• Must have ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written & oral instructions.
• Must have strong organizational skills and ability to schedule work effectively.
• Must have ability to work well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
• Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime, when necessary.
