SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Manager, Franchise Management & Marketing is a member of the Global Franchise Management & Marketing team that is responsible for supporting WBCP's Live Action portfolio (including HBO, WBTV and Theatrical Film content from the organization with highlights like Game of Thrones, Friends, Lord Of The Rings, Ted Lasso, The Matrix and more). This team is also responsible for the global management of a portfolio of IPs within Consumer Products including the development of the CP Global Franchise Plan and yearly marketing activations.

The role will take direction from and work closely with two Directors under the leadership of the team's Vice President. This person will focus on the core CP business and is responsible for managing the day-to-day marketing approvals supporting the creation of franchise plans, marketing plans and marketing materials as well as assisting with the execution of all marketing initiatives for the IP.

The position requires an affinity for pop culture, TV and Film properties, the consumer products industry, and a forward-focused mindset. The Manager role includes liaising with internal and external parties, including but not limited to other WBCP departments (Category, Retail Sales, Central Creative, Finance, Legal, etc.), pan-WarnerMedia Divisions, vendors, colleagues around the world, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works with two team Directors to accomplish a wide range of tasks ranging from collaborative support work to tasks which are this person's sole responsibility.
• Supports the development and communication of the Live Action CP Franchise and Marketing Plans and Marketing Activations.
• Manages the day-to-day review/approvals of all Live Action submissions on product, marketing, and PR/Comms for the core business.
• Assists team Directors in the development of supporting materials and communication tools for internal and external stakeholders.
• Leads the development, upkeep, and implementation of Live Action portfolio franchise guidelines.
• Represents Franchise Management in meetings and discussions with licensees and retailers to support Category and Retail colleagues as needed.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key WarnerMedia stakeholders to ensure a reliable and timely flow of information and submission materials (i.e., WB Theatrical Marketing, WBTV Marketing, HBO Marketing, 3rd Party Approvers.)
• Provides brand guidance, feedback, and problem-solving to licensees and internal CP teams (Creative, Brand Assurance, Regional Franchise, Comms, Category, and Retail colleagues) to drive business opportunities.
• Supports Directors to project-manage external agencies in the development of franchise tools.
• Serves as Live Action team's primary contact with Legal Department to manage legal approvals, requests, trademark clearances, rights questions and managing onboarding new IP.
• Works collaboratively with the Category, Creative, and Sales teams to determine creative strategy for Style Guides as well as ensuring necessary third-party approvals for all Style Guides and product artwork as needed.
• Other projects and duties may be assigned depending on business development and needs.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of brand, franchise or consumer products experience required.
• Previous franchise management and marketing experience preferred.
• Entertainment industry experience a plus.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• Bachelor's degree with coursework in business/marketing strongly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation software programs required.
• Strong organization and multitasking skills required.
• Fluent command of the English language required; second language is a plus.
• Knowledge of digital platforms and media marketing tools.
• Effective written/oral communication and presentation skills.
• Effective planning and follow-through skills.
• Comfort and experience with presentation and public speaking.
• Strong understanding of Licensing and the consumer products industry preferred.

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons at all levels, in person, written, via phone, video conference, etc.

• Must be a team player ready to pitch in to accomplish all levels of tasks from the mundane to the complex.
