Manager, Design and User Experience (CW Network)

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Lead Design and User Experience for The CW App across Mobile, Connected TV and Web. Oversee research, prototyping and implementation of layout for every instance of The CW App. Establish and refine workflow processes that allow internal and external design and development teams to keep our Apps cutting edge. Provide guidance and feedback on App development to ensure user experience keeps The CW App at the forefront of video streaming apps.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the app layout architecture for each app instance. Determine the best possible UX and UI for each platform to maintain brand continuity across each platform while presenting an experience that rewards the user differently whether they are using on mobile or streaming on their television. Work with and guide developers to implement approved execution.
• Manage internal/external teams in development workflow for multiple app platforms, provide approvals and direction regarding priorities during dev process.
• Manage visual quality assurance for apps and brand identity in digital space.
• Coordinate ongoing workflow with product team to ensure adherence to deadlines/timelines and lead weekly review and future development discussion.
• Oversee testing and data collection efforts as relate to user behavior and UX insights.
• Create graphic assets and manage production and publishing process for apps on all platforms.
• Manage designers in their daily workflow and prioritization of projects and provide art direction and approvals.
• Lead internal and external teams to execute creative concepts and marketing strategies for every show.
• Manage and publish editorial content daily/as needed on site(s) and apps, ensuring the most accurate and timely information and art is being used strategically to support marketing priorities.
• Create social content for show and brand marketing efforts, including concept and creative execution.
• Identify new digital marketing trends and apply to current day-to-day execution.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Work Experience
• Minimum 3-4 years experience performing in same or similar capacity as the job duties listed above
• Previous entertainment industry experience preferred
• Prior experience in social media and digital marketing
• Motion graphics, video experience preferred

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• BA/BS degree in related field required

Knowledge/Skills
• Must be able to provide samples of their work
• Knowledge of advertising and promotional terminology and procedures, including, but not limited to, artwork (image formats, graphics, logos, etc.), new technology (online strategies, web sites, digital asset management, etc.) and written (synopses, log lines, running orders, fact sheets, etc.) material
• Must have strong project management skills
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, typography
• Computer literate, Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX, Outlook or Entourage, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Must have good understanding of social media, audience community, trends, etc.
• Must have copywriting skills and experience in optimizing for social
• Passionate and knowledgeable about marketing

• Must have knowledge and understanding of building and maintaining strong professional relationships
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions
• Must be able to reliably and pleasantly work in a fast-paced high-pressure corporate environment
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must have excellent communication skills, ability to confidently present ideas.
• Must be able to manage heavy workload and successfully see projects/tasks through to completion
• Must be detail-oriented and maintain confidentiality
• Must be able to work under strict time constraints
• Must be able to resolve conflicts within the scope of responsibility
• Must be able to work overtime when needed
