Job Description

The Job

The role is ideally suited for a candidate with prior experience in licensing who wants to take the next step. It comprises of two key aspects: (1) the coordination of competitor reviews, store audits summaries, product line list by franchise, regional category events and client roadshows and (2) supporting the toys & publishing category in managing commercial licensing partnerships on a day-to-day basis.

The Daily
• Compile Category updates, regarding progress of key launch initiatives across key partners. Liaison with partner contacts and regional category teams where appropriate, to ensure accuracy of data.
• Work with the London-based EMEA category team to create presentations and franchise decks that utilize trend vision, product and property interpretations, and advertising/ mock-ups used in existing and potential partner presentations; liaise with external agencies and other internal WB teams to facilitate.
• Organize Category events as appropriate, liaising with territory category teams, creative functions, and third-party suppliers.
• Manage the coordination of category mailings and communications.
• Compile monthly competitors' activation summaries and key licensing initiatives, to disseminate across the licensing team.
• Support the toys & publishing category lead in the management of development accounts wherever relevant.
• Responsible for the timely collection of forecasts and supporting information from toys & publishing licensees on a quarterly basis.
• Day-to-day contact for assigned number of toys & publishing licensees, providing relevant information to licensees on an ad-hoc basis.
• Liaison for international teams, e.g. from US or APAC to collate feedback from EMEA team on deal renewals and new business proposal.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Essentials
• Previous experience in licensing, sales, marketing or retail essential.
• Strong communication skills in the English language; and second European language is preferable.
• Experience of dealing with various levels of seniority internally and externally across EMEA.
• Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint .
• Can convey key messages clearly and apply active listening skills.
• Comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing.
• Displays ability to flex approach or behaviours in response to change.
• Displays openness to learning and absorption of new ideas, systems and processes.
• Displays ability to innovate within area of responsibility if tasked to do so.
