The Job
Monolith Productions seeks a Quality Assurance Lead to join our team. The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the quality assurance effort across the project. The QA Lead works closely with the QA Manager, Production team, Development team, peers and testers to ensure a thorough and complete execution of testing tasks. In addition, the QA Lead is a leadership role, where the QA Lead is responsible for onboarding, mentoring, and supervising the QAA and Sr. QAA personnel assigned to the QA Lead's project and/or team. A great QA Lead will help build and manage processes to onboard and develop strong QA personal throughout the project lifecycle.

The Daily
• Oversees the creation and maintenance of project test cases, test suites, test schedule, and other documentation needed for the successful testing of our game.
• Mentor and evaluate performance of Sr QAA and QAA team members
• Trains incoming new hires and continues mentorship throughout tenure to ensure maximized growth and effectiveness of the QA team.
• Communicates with development and production teams to provide timely and accurate updates related to the project and immediately escalates critical issues to appropriate stakeholders. Provides feedback to production and development on the state of the game via issues reported in bug-tracking software, project status updates, via e-mail and face-to-face interactions while working with QA Manager.
• Participates in and oversees the efforts of team members participating in both internal and external product demonstrations, including but not limited to: Internal press reviews, trade shows, industry conferences, and other locations determined by the needs of the project.
• Enforces testing policies, procedures and standards.
• Manages day-to-day activity in the issue tracking database, including routing issues, providing feedback to testers on the quality of their bug write-ups, anticipating usage issues and making recommendations for inclusions/updates to the database administrator, and assisting in end-of-project triage.

The Essentials
• Strong leadership capabilities including communication, interpersonal skills, planning, work direction, load balancing, critical thinking, and sound judgement when making decisions related to their work.
• Demonstrated ability to train and onboard new QA resources.
• Experience creating a variety of QA documentation, including test plans, test suites, and any other necessary QA documents for game development projects.
• Able to effectively identify and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and describe the issue to others in a clear and concise manner.
• Must have a working competency with various communications programs (Slack, Outlook, etc) and Microsoft office suite.

The Nice to Haves
• Proven experience in Development QA capacity throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Knowledge of the video game development industry, trends, and practices.
• Knowledge of PC gaming and comfort working on PC for game development.
• Experience with bug tracking and source control systems.
• Experience with test case tracking systems.
• Knowledge about Compliance Standards, Testing and Submission Processes
