The Job

You will be a member of the Cloud Data Team, under Cloud Platforms in the WarnerMedia Technology Organization (WMTO). The Cloud Data Team is based in Atlanta and responsible for building mission-critical applications and services in support of Digital Customer Experience, Advertising, Promotional Marketing, and other high-revenue, high-visibility functions for WarnerMedia worldwide. Projects include digital application telemetry, ad scheduling, audience segmentation, as well as management of data and data science tooling and architecture for the enterprise.

You must be a hands-on Lead Developer with the knowledge, motivation, and energy to lead the making of data-rich solutions. You'll work with some of the best product managers, data architects, software developers, and senior management in the industry to design, prototype, and build cloud-based data solutions, using an Agile process and tools.

The Day to Day
• Specify, design, and build cloud-based Big Data streaming and transformation services, analytic, BI, and data warehouse applications
• Be the technical subject matter expert for one or more data products or feature sets
• Take ownership, assume responsibility for data product correctness, quality, and deployment
• Architect data solutions using cloud infrastructure that performs well at minimal cost
• Troubleshoot and fix data product bugs and operational issues

The Essentials
• 2+ years' experience building data or video streaming and/or stream-based analytics solutions
• Java, Python, and SQL knowledge
• Skill in Big Data manipulation and transformation, both within and outside of a database
• Strong work ethic, collaboration, and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn both the technology and business of Warner Media

Extra Credit:
• Expertise in AWS Kinesis Data Streaming, Flink (Java/DataStream API), AWS Timestream, and Grafana
• General experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, and/or other public cloud computing platforms
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Airflow, and other Big Data technologies
• Understanding of web application architecture
