The Job

The Engagement and Onboarding Lead will hold a key leadership position within the GBS Strategy & Transformation Organization and wider GBS organization. This role will be responsible for managing, developing, and implementing the communications, strategies, plans and onboarding/employee engagement programs for the multi-functional GBS organization. This role will involve working globally with internal GBS stakeholders and partnering closely with the People & Culture organization.

The Daily

Support the Head of GBS Strategy and Transformation in all GBS people mobilization activities across locations, which include, but not limited to:
• Plan and deliver activities to build and mobilize the leadership for the Head of Shared Services and Transformation
• Support leaders to on-board and mobilize their teams
• Support team formation activities (e.g., Teambuilding events etc.)
• Working with Head of GBS and Strategy and Transformation leaders to build a unique employee experience, based on the WBD Culture principles and develop GBS branding to be rolled out within GBS and across WBD
• Build a strategy to continue to attract, nurture and retain talent for GBS
• Partner with the People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner and GBS Strategy and Transformation leader to define and build a sustainable long-term Continuous Improvement strategy (focusing on people and services)
• Manage stakeholder and leadership engagement and communications
• Define and implement the people enablement activities – project manage activities, identify and escalate risks and issues
• Partner with the P&C Business Partners to ensure global templates, tools and process are applied and activities are aligned to the wider people transition activities
• Develop and implement an internal communication plan to engage employees globally, keep them informed, build a sense of team and embed the WBD culture
• Support the knowledge transfer activities
• Develop high level training plan, covering tools, processes, policies and specialist areas (e.g., customer service training)
• Oversee delivery of this training via WBD Learning and Development team, Integration Workstreams or third-party providers

The Essentials:
• Minimum 7 years of experience in change and / or internal communications roles
• Proven success in developing and executing communications strategies and plans
• Evidence of understanding and successful application of change management and / or communication theory
• Successful track record of leading large scale global communications and engagement initiatives
• Experience in set-up of or working in a GBS / Shared Services environment is desirable
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Resilient and able to deal with ambiguity
• Strong people skills
• International experience required

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., strategic communications, public relations, internal communication) required
• Membership of professional body (e.g., CIPR, IOIC) preferred
