WarnerMedia seeks a Manager, Special Projects for the Equity & Inclusion department.

Equity & Inclusion is an enterprise-wide department dedicated to leveling the playing field across WarnerMedia. Fiercely focused on creating an equitable environment, the Workforce and Production team believes diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are both business and moral imperatives -- and we are building a movement to prove it.

As Manager, Special Projects, you will play a critical role in enabling communication, collaboration and strategy across the Special Projects team, Workforce & Production department, and WarnerMedia collaborators. You will be tasked with implementing the vision laid out in multiple comprehensive program strategies. Your daily efforts will drive meaningful change across WarnerMedia and your actions will ensure we continue to build a thriving and equitable culture and create ongoing opportunities to serve as an effective DEI partner.

What are the fundamentals required of this Manager?
• Own the momentum: Drive strategies forward and deeply invest yourself in that forward momentum. Inspire action among the full collaborative team assigned to the project.
• Big vision: You'll put ideas, timelines, roadmaps and tactics into action, and continually refine strategic plans by identifying opportunities to make our ideas work even harder. Deep dive into the big picture and overall DEI strategy to understand how all the moving parts fit together.
• Highlight project evolution and identify pivotal moments: Provide project bumpers to keep ideas, timelines, budgets on track and pivot when needed.
• Be rooted in financial responsibility: You'll need to master creating efficiencies and keeping within budgets.
• Writing and Communications: Prepare and review internal and external department communications, drafting written materials, reports, proposals, emails, letters, decks, speeches and/or presentations when necessary. You must be a perfectionist when it comes to proof reading and uphold a high standard for written communication.

The Manager, Special Projects will be directly involved in the following projects:
• WM Fellows (Talent Development Program for Executives of Color, SVP+)
• Path to Equity (3-week Racial Equity workshop series for entire WM workforce)
• Listening Sessions (related to current state-of-the-world; e.g., social justice/racial reckoning/Covid-19/election; as-needed)
• MLT Certification

You will also serve as liaison to our AT&T counterparts, helping in support of their awards/surveys program; assist Director of Special Projects with additional items as they arise.

The Daily
• Leading, developing, executing and presenting comprehensive DEI strategies as part of a collaborative team.
• Composing various correspondence, including department communications.
• Creating and managing project schedules and deadlines to implement developed strategies.
• Overseeing day-to-day needs of multiple projects, providing feedback and direction for the team to ensure we are reaching our goals.
• Proactively monitoring for opportunities; consistently introduce new ideas and approaches.
• Working hand-in-hand with other team members to bring ideas to life and ensure exceptional quality on all projects
• Executing on visionary strategies by planning large-scale timelines and owning day-to-day next steps to bring big ideas and short/long-term projects to life
• Developing SOWs, project plans and strategic points of view
• Tracking on objectives and ROI
• Identifying opportunities for new processes and best practices

The Essentials

The Workforce & Production team is background agnostic and excited by candidates with unique and different education/work histories. We believe talent is evenly distributed but opportunity is not, and are committed to ensuring opportunities are open to all so that our ecosystem is strengthened through the inclusion of multiple dimensions of diversity and thought.
• College education relevant to the position
• 3+ years of relevant experience in which you have written project briefs, met aggressive deadlines and driven projects (possibly at an agency or in another fast-paced environment)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience developing and executing large-scale project plans, budgets and timelines
• Advanced communication skills, including both written (documents and presentations) and interpersonal communication skills
• Problem-solving and project management skills, including the ability to work and deliver on 10-15 projects independently, proactively and under pressure
• Confidence and poise to handle difficult communication challenges and attend high profile events and meetings
• You can practice discretion and maintain confidentiality as needed.
• Experience in financial analysis and basic budget modeling (preferred but not required)
• Confidence managing virtual environments (Zoom, WebEx, Menti, etc.)
