The Job

The Financial Contract Reporting Administration (FCRA) department manages contractual reporting to talent and co-production companies on all of Warner Bros. film, television, and new media libraries. It is an exciting, fast-paced organization that provides a unique opportunity to learn all aspects of the company – from production to initial film release through all downstream channels of distribution.

We are seeking a Director of Deal Setup for the FCRA Participations department who will lead and manage the setup and maintenance of Participations statements to ensure we are contractually compliant, the setup and maintenance of Stakeholders to ensure the Participations statements and payments are submitted to the correct entity and creation and maintenance of Data Analytic tools to create efficiencies.

The Daily
• Review and approve new participations deal setup and/or deal setup changes for deal compliance, accuracy and presentation related to Video Game, Home Entertainment, Television and Theatrical products
• Perform special projects and prepare ad hoc analyses, as needed from upper management. Work with department VP on evaluating business changes that will impact setup and developing a course of action.
• Identify Deal Setup/Template deficiencies and work with Manager to provide analysis on impact, develop an actionable plan, ensure timely implementation of resolution, and take ownership of decision.
• Oversee the development and training of the staff, schedule workflow so that reporting requirements are met, monitor team assignments, and report status to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Review and approve Stakeholder setups and changes for legal and tax compliance.
• Work with other departments/business units to ensure data flows through the participation system properly for setup and reporting purposes.
• Provide input and domain knowledge to contribute to user stories for system enhancements and ensure robust testing with the setup team
• Other duties as assigned

The Essentials
• BA or BS degree in business or finance related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 10+ years' experience in Participations, Entertainment Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of management experience
• Extensive knowledge of Film, TV, Home Entertainment and Games distribution required
• Experience with Participations reporting systems
• Strong Managerial, Training & Development skills required
• Very strong analytical and critical thinking skills required
• Excellent planning, organization and time management skills required
• Excellent change management skills required
• Aptitude to quickly learn new technologies and information systems required
• Must be customer service oriented, displaying a strong ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and management within and outside the division
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Strong competency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
• Prior experience with workflow tracking software (e.g., JIRA) preferred
• Strong presentation skills required
• Strong project management skills required
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Excellent at handling multiple tasks with changing priorities required
