The Job
The primary role of the Director, International Exhibitor & Event Marketing is to work in collaboration with International Marketing & Distribution leadership to execute strategic initiatives for International exhibitor events and marketing partnerships. Works cross-departmentally as well as with individual markets in the creation, development and adaptation of exhibitor conventions and special events to meet strategic business objectives.
The Daily
• Works with International Marketing and Distribution in the development and implementation of exhibitor conventions and special events including strategy, creative direction, production and planning across departments.
• Project management to include the ability to lead/prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and attend key marketing meetings.
• Coordinates all aspects of international Exhibitor and Distribution events and manages approvals of all local Exhibitor event requests. Manages content and security approvals for all events.
• Manages materials, presentation keynote, script and overall show-flows of international exhibitor conventions and comic-cons, and be on site to support the Producer/Showrunner during the events.
• Strategizes and partners with international Distribution, Marketing, EMEA Trade Marketing and Digital Marketing to create cohesive Exhibitor toolkit decks and support local territories with assets and information to maximize local exhibitor relationships.
• Coordinate exhibitor and partner exclusive materials with global partners like Dolby and IMAX, develop asset release strategy for these materials and any larger exhibition-focused programs in partnership with the US Exhibitor Marketing team, International Distribution/Marketing and the International territories to execute and share global best practices (i.e. Dolby exclusive artwork, IMAX Fan Events etc). This role will not directly manage deals or partnerships with International exhibitors.
• Works with the international Marketing team on the creation of local, regional, and international conferences including building presentation decks and managing the presentations on-the-ground at each event.
• Plan and support additional International Events including Conferences (International and Regional), Filmmaker Conferences and Experiential Fan Events and Comic Cons like CCXP and DC FanDome and/or other virtual or live events.
• Manages production schedules, back out deadlines and tracks deliverables for all events.
• Communicates consistently with management and global teams regarding status of events and event production, and communicating reactions and round-ups and status of the events post-show to management and key stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
The Essentials
• 5+ years previous experience in Marketing/Advertising/Publicity/Events strongly preferred.
• Previous experience working in areas of audio/visual materials and print production required.
• Previous experience producing live events required.
• Previous experience in International preferred.
• 5 years Studio/Industry/Exhibition or Events experience required.
• Experience working with major entertainment brands encouraged but not required.
• College degree in Advertising, Business, Marketing, Film or English preferred.
