The Job

Responsible for overall management of administrative legal functions of Corporate Legal Employment Law department. Assists Employment Law department in areas below.

The Daily
• Supervises and manages assigned departmental support staff, including ensuring the quality and even distribution of work and managing requests for time off.
• Provides direction and advice to, and drafts and coordinates labor and employment law-related documents for departments and divisions throughout WarnerMedia, including separation agreements and employment agreements.
• Manages the employee separation process from a legal perspective – ensures separation agreements are drafted, sent/signed, coordinates with payroll regarding final checks, prepares and/or audits adverse impact analyses and OWBPA schedules/charts.
• Responsible for analyzing discovery requests (requests for documents, interrogatories, etc.). Prepares legal documents for filing in court. Identifies and contacts individuals who may have responsive documents/information, searches their files, and reviews/analyzes documents for legal privilege and other issues.
• Conducts factual investigations into a variety of labor and employment-related claims. Analyzes legal documents to determine legal rights and obligations of signatory parties.
• Responds to inquiries/requests by department and outside counsel.
• Responsible for the maintenance of legal files, especially litigation files, and develops a thorough working knowledge of documents and files so that documents can be quickly and readily retrieved.
• Assists in the preparation of supervising attorneys for arbitrations, mediations, meetings, and other appearances. Performs various ad hoc projects as requested by supervising attorneys.
