This new role under the Ad Sales, Research team will lead the Data Analytics efforts to create overall data and analytics objectives and strategies to support teams in their reporting, analytics, and story-telling needs. This position will turn proprietary and 3rd party data into insights. Make reporting available via dashboards with narrative and business focus specific to audience and campaign metrics. Serve as the intermediary between data engineers and internal research stakeholders. Responsible for performing statistical modeling and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports and visualizations of trends and patterns.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Has primary responsibilities for creating, defining, and structuring data analytics driven capabilities that are critical to the business.
• Creates new teams and restructures components of the Data Analytics organization as necessary.
• Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations on broad-based data analytics initiatives and objectives that align with overall business and corporate goals.
• Organization-wide leadership of technical proficiency, execution, and management.
• Uses detailed competitive market and industry knowledge in determining tactics and operational decisions.
• Aligns and influences internal organizations and external alliances in support of the data analytics strategy.
• Acts as a functional expert within the team.
• Engages in/supervises hiring and recruiting efforts and contributes to global hiring strategy for the team.
• Develops and ensures widespread use of best practices for data visualization, analytical techniques, statistical analysis, and storytelling.
• Data planning, privacy, and standardization
• Inform 1st party data capabilities for ad products
Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science preferred. Experience: Typically requires 10+ years' experience and supervisory experience.
• Having experience in collating data from a variety of sources and interpret patterns and trends and what they mean for the data driven ad business
• Previous experience in Automating syndicated reporting for data access across ad sales partners
• Knowledge of using various research tools such as Tableau, SQL
