The Job
WarnerMedia is seeking an Application Implementation Manager of Product to own day to day strategy, tactical direction and best practices for a team of Technical Product Managers and Business Analysts. This leadership role is a multi-disciplined, cross-functional opportunity to lead product vision, strategy, roadmap and delivery of best-in-class platforms in the Data, Privacy / Identify and Digital Analytics space.
This role will:
• Help define team vision, strategy, process management, deliverables and delivery from the ground up.
• Mentor team of Technical Product Managers and Business Analysts to turn Product Vision into an executable strategyß
• Provide on the ground technical leadership for the Product Team's day-to-day operations including eliciting and defining requirements, creating technical documentation, conversation facilitation, and providing analysis within development teams' day to day agile framework
• Lead team in strategic research, competitive analysis and emerging technologies to drive our future growth, direction and innovation
• Be a vocal and articulate advocate of the team's roadmap to our brand and business partners so that they understand the business strategy, vision, implementation work necessary and to ultimately embrace product adoption
• Define strategies for integration testing, user acceptance testing and technical product validation
• Position team to become Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for data systems and workflows
The Daily
• Manage a team of 5-7 Technical Product Managers and Business Analysts (including FTEs and contractors) responsible for delivering data solutions, technical requirements, roadmaps, user acceptance testing, etc. for WarnerMedia's domestic and global digital products. This includes providing strategy and direction to the team, ensuring consistent vision, best practices and solutioning as well as HR resource management
• Advocate our team's roadmap to our brand and business partners
• Lead and foster strategic research, competitive analysis and understand emerging technologies to drive future growth, direction and innovation
• Manage forecasts, budgets and work with finance and legal for SOWs for any vendors or contractors
• Act as a point of escalation to team and brands to help prioritize and troubleshoot issues and help unblock team when needs arise
• Provides strategy and direction to International Instrumentation Team around creation and adoption of digital analytics for international brands
• Provides input on new direction and adoption of corporate schema, client side sdk and analytics tech stack
The Essentials
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Product Owner and Agile certifications preferred
• 2+ years leading a product team
• 4+ years in a Technical Product Manager or Product Owner role
• 3+ years hands on management of functional or technical staff
• 5+ years in data strategy, privacy / identity, instrumentation, digital analytics or similar field
• Entertainment or sports industry experience is desirable
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies for iterative development
• Experience working in small to large teams to achieve project objectives and tasks under challenging deadlines, requiring successful collaboration and problem solving with team members
• Demonstrable knowledge of Agile methodologies and concepts (agile certifications preferred)
• Use of collaboration, product management, roadmapping and development tools (Confluence, Jira, or similar)
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to partner with the business, influence decisions and create relationships
• Concise communicator; able to craft messages and strategy to senior leadership
