THE JOB

The Distribution Analytics & Insights team is responsible for developing analyses to enable strategic and operational decision-making across WarnerMedia's streaming brands, TV networks and licensed content distribution channels. This role will work closely with various stakeholders to help drive growth in HBO Max subscriptions and revenues across the global app platforms as well as pay-tv and broadband distributors. The Analyst will collaborate across the WarnerMedia organization to identify opportunities, report on business and industry trends, and help facilitate access to data and insights.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works with the team and other WM stakeholders to develop analyses in support of HBO Max and other content distribution strategies by identifying emerging patterns in subscription and engagement behaviors.
• Assists in building customer lifecycle and content valuation models, leveraging disparate data sources across multiple touchpoints and brands.
• Upholds a 'test and learn' approach for new research initiatives by developing analytic plans to ensure accurate and robust results. Presents findings to key stakeholders along with strategic implications and recommendations.
• Collaborates with various teams to align on data and methodologies. Develops dashboards in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker) to ensure that business reporting needs are met.
• Takes on project management role in supporting the company's data and analytics initiatives, including ongoing coordination across various teams.
• Acts as a subject matter expert on consumer behavioral trends and competitive intelligence, translates to WM where applicable, and shares findings with internal stakeholders.
• Cultivates and manages relationships with internal stakeholders. Facilitates the constant flow of information between teams critical to the day-to-day business.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree required. Concentration in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in an analytics role preferred.
• Proficiency in working with large analytic datasets using SQL. Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Analytical, numerate and motivated. Comfort with ambiguity and managing multiple projects simutaneously.
• Expertise with Excel & PowerPoint. Experience using VBA and/or macros is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex methodologies and nuanced results into easy-to-understand insights using a storytelling approach.
